In short:
ak-tanstackcovers three areas of TanStack: Start (routes, server functions, middleware), Form (state and validation) and AI (streaming chat). It reads the installed packages and versions first, writes against those versions' types, then checks with the project's scripts. It does only the part you ask for, and declines TanStack Query, Table and Virtual as out of scope.

Summary
Use it when you build a React app with TanStack Start, need a validated form with TanStack Form, want to add AI chat with TanStack AI, or are comparing Start with Next.js and Remix. It is not for TanStack Query, Table, Virtual or general React patterns.

F["TanStack Query, Table, Virtual"] -.-> G["Out of scope, the skill declines"]It rests on 4 ideas:
| Idea | Question | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Installed version | Which TanStack packages and versions does the project use? | Read package.json, the lockfile and imports; seeing @tanstack/react-start, write against that package's types |
| Three supported areas | Which part does the request belong to? | Routes and server functions are Start; validation is Form; chat and streaming are AI |
| Generated files | Where do you edit when a route changes? | Create the route file in src/routes/, run the generator so routeTree.gen.ts updates itself |
| Stay in scope | Does fixing one spot drag in other work? | Fixing the sign-up form's validation changes only the form |
TanStack AI is in Alpha, and the skill states clearly that it is not ready for production.
Sample prompt to add a route with a server function:
/ak-tanstack start Add an invoice detail page /invoices/$invoiceId to <app name>.
Data comes through a server function, with input parameter validation.
Only signed-in users can view it (use the existing auth middleware).
Done when: typecheck and build pass, and the page shows the right invoice. This skill has no flags. After the skill name you write the TanStack part to work on (Start, Form or AI), then the feature, for example form sign-up validation.
Below is the detailed version: the run flow, 4 situations with prompts, how to write the input, the change history by ak release, and common pitfalls. The detailed version and the interactive page are for subscribers. Your agent can also search them through the portal's MCP.
