In short:
ak-filmmakingmakes narrative AI films of 5 to 30 minutes by building a production graph infilms/<slug>/and going stage by stage to the final cut. When a shot fails, only that shot is redone. It is not for ads, social videos, motion graphics or a single clip.

Summary
Use it when you make a short film or an episodic film with many scenes and lots of dialogue, where faces must match in every shot and lips must match the words. You do not need it for a promo or a social video (use ak-video) or for beat-synced motion graphics (use ak-motion-video).

B --> F["Promo, social video: ak-video"]
B --> G["Beat-synced motion graphics: ak-motion-video"]Four concepts to know:
| Concept | Question | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Production graph | Where does the film's state live? | Hair still wet from scene S02 into S03 is recorded in the shot's conditions, not in the chat's memory |
| Canonical identity set | What keeps a character's face the same in every shot? | Front, three-quarter, profile and full-body images you approve as canonical |
| Dialogue before picture | How do lips match the words? | Each line has a master voice take and a timing file before any lip-synced shot is made |
| Animatic as the cost gate | When is it OK to spend money on video? | You sign off a full-length cut built from storyboard and master dialogue before real rendering |
Each shot has a render class and the whole film has a budget mode, low, balanced or quality; together they decide which shots go to a cheap tier and which get premium.
