In short:
ak-motion-graphicsis a router for video, animation and motion graphics work: it finds an installed skill that can do the job and hands it over. When no skill has the template you need, it prints the install command for an outside pack and waits for you, without installing anything. It does not build videos itself, but it has helpers to check rendered files.

Summary
Use it when you need a video or an animation and do not know which skill does it, want to see which template packs exist, or need to check that a rendered MP4, HTML page or set of frame images matches its spec. You do not need it when you already know the target skill, for example ak-motion-video or ak-remotion.

E --> FFour concepts to know:
| Concept | Question | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Input | What do you give it? | A sentence describing the job, such as "a 9:16 vertical product intro video", or a pack name |
| Installed skills first | Who actually makes the video? | Data-driven React video goes to ak-remotion; a launch video with voice-over and beat-synced music goes to ak-motion-video |
| Outside packs: proposal only | What if no skill has the template you need? | A geometric proof scene: it prints the npx skills add command for the matching pack, then stops |
| Check what was rendered | How do you know the output is what was promised? | The file claims 30 fps but is really 24 fps: the helper reads the real spec from the MP4 and reports an error |
A skill in the routing table is only used if it is in your install; if one is missing, it tries the next matching row.
Sample prompt for letting it pick the video skill:
/ak-motion-graphics Make a launch video for the new feature of <product name>,
about 30 seconds, with voice-over, captions, sound effects and beat-synced music.| Flag | What it is for | Since ak |
|---|---|---|
--list | Lists the 15 outside packs and their install commands | 2.10.0 |
--propose <pack> | Prints the install command for a pack you know by name | 2.10.0 |
--verify <file> | Checks a rendered file with the helper for its file type | 2.10.0 |
Below is the detailed version: the run flow, 5 situations with prompts, each flag explained (when to use it, when you do not need it, what you get, which flags it combines with), the change history by ak release, and common pitfalls.
