In short:
ak-marketing-psychologypicks the 2 to 3 psychological mechanisms that best explain a puzzling customer behavior, such as abandoning the cart, calling the price too high, or leaving after a trial. Each mechanism comes with one intervention and one way to test it, and you review and decide what to publish. It only recommends: it does not publish copy, does not change prices, and does not propose anything that needs customers to be deceived.

Summary
Use it when customers do something puzzling at a specific step and you want to know why, with a test to check it. You do not need it when you want a long list of biases, or someone to publish copy or change prices for you.

D --> E["Run the test, watch the metric and guardrail"]Four things the skill always makes clear:
| Point | Question | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Behavior and decision point | Who, at which step, is not doing what you want? | New customers add a product to the cart but leave at the step that shows the shipping fee. |
| Few mechanisms, with reasons | Which mechanism explains this behavior, and on what evidence? | It picks "regret aversion" and "activation energy" instead of listing a dozen biases. A mechanism with no supporting data is marked as a hypothesis. |
| Intervention, metric, guardrail | What changes, which number measures it, and which number warns of harm? | Show the total cost on the product page. Confirming metric: checkout completion rate. Guardrail: refund rate and complaints must not rise. |
| Honest limits | Does this intervention only work if customers are deceived or obstructed? | Countdown timers that reset, made-up scarcity, confirmshaming decline buttons, pre-checked paid add-ons, hard-to-find cancel flows: the skill will not do these, even when a model can "explain" why they work. It offers an honest alternative. |
Each mechanism is a hypothesis about behavior, not a promise of more conversions. The skill also does not cite research or "studies show X%" figures unless you give a source or it can name a verifiable one.
Sample prompt for cart abandonment:
/ak-marketing-psychology New customers of <shop name> add items to the cart
but drop off at checkout.
Data: <funnel numbers per step>, <a few customer comments>.
Constraints: no extra discounts, no change to the shipping policy this week.
Done when: there are 2-3 mechanisms, each with an intervention, a metric and a guardrail. This skill has no flags. You type the principle or tactic you want to apply right after the skill name, or describe the customer behavior instead of naming a principle.
Below is the detailed version: the run flow, 5 situations with prompts (cart abandonment, pricing page layout, a request for fake urgency, asking about a principle, leaving after a trial), the change history by ak release, and common pitfalls. The detailed version and the interactive page are for subscribers. Your agent can also search them through the portal's MCP.
